ManRub Tequila Shrimp Tacos w/ Cilantro Crème Slaw
Ingredients Needed
Shrimp Taco
2lbs Shrimp 16-20
½ cup Don Julio Tequila
½ teaspoon ManRub Jalapeno Whip
½ teaspoon ManRub All Purr-Puss
2 chopped green jalapenos
1 chopped red jalapeno
1 bunch chopped green onions
1 bunch chopped fine cilantro
3 tbls butter
1 bag angel hair cabbage
1 pack (10) taco size flour tortillas
Cilantro Slaw
¼ cup oil
¼ cup water
½ chopped green onions
½ cup cilantro leaves
2 cloves garlic
½ teaspoon ManRub All Purr-Puss Rub
Juice of 2 limes
½ cup Greek plain yogurt
Let's Get Started
Shrimp
• Clean and take tails off shrimp, rinse and set on paper towel to dry. Heat cast iron pan until it is hot and add oil.
• Add shrimp, onions, jalapenos, rubs and let cook for 5- 8 minutes turning occasionally. Add tequila and burn off alcohol. Once fire calms, add butter. Let cook for another minute.
Slaw
• Mix everything except slaw in a bowl, once complete place in fridge for 20 minutes.
• After chilling, add ½ mixture to slaw and mix well
• Leave other half to pour over tacos
Tacos
• Build tacos by adding shrimp to warm tortillas, add cilantro slaw along with a drizzle of leftover mixture.
• Add your favorite topping, tomatoes, avocado or mango salsa.
